The young Scot, whom Mick McCarthy brought to Sunderland, has signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers in a deal worth £150,000 - escalating to £250,000 depending on appearances.
Collins signed for Sunderland in 2004 after playing for Dumbarton on a part-time contract. He has had loan spells at Hartlepool and Sheffield United during his time on Wearside and recently made 3 appearances for Wolves in the absence of Jody Craddock during a 2-month loan spell at Molineux.
