"I was very, very pleased with the performance," he said.
"I thought we deserved three points. We went out with a good attitude and we battled really well for 90 minutes.
"I thought we defended well at the back and it was an own goal which cost us - it couldn't be helped.
"The response has been magnificent. They've had a lot of information put into them in the last couple of weeks.
"I thought tonight was a performance we can build on. Our organisation was better - we dealt with a lot of stuff and they kept their discipline."
