So Sunderland are becoming more and more in need of new signings as we creep closer and closer to transfer deadline day.
Although it does look like Sunderland do have their feelers out as boss David Moyes was a noticeable face in the Nottingham Forest – Brentford game last night.
But the question is, who was he watching at Griffin Park?
Some say it was Forest’s striker Britt Assombalonga, although the striker started off on the bench due to the birth of his child hours before the kick off! The 23 year old is Forests record signing at 5.5 million, but is now valued at the 7 million mark.
Forest are desperate to keep hold of their prise asset, but Sunderland could certainly match the asking price, along with the pulling of premier league football.
Oliver Burke is another name that has been raised of a possibility, but as with Assombalonga he started on the bench only playing in the final part of the match.
The 19 year Scot, has been heavily linked with a move to London side Crystal Palace with a rumoured 8 million pound offer tabled for him. Bit Forrest are again trying there up most to either keep the winger or get as much as possible as a transfer fee.
