The One-Team Scottish Premier League is the joke of world football, but Watmore says it is even WORSE than we imagine.
Celtic started the season 200/1 ON to win the league, with Motherwell second favourites at 1,000/1.
How can anyone call that SPORT, never mind football?
The on-loan Sunderland kid made his debut as Hibs crashed to a 3-2 Scottish Cup defeat at the hands of Championship outfit Raith Rovers on Saturday.
But he revealed the bashing his pride took was nothing compared to what his body went through at Easter Road.
In fact Watmore says he hasn’t taken such a kicking since his days playing in England’s Conference North League with Altrincham before he made the switch to the Black Cats last summer.
Duncan Watmore: “I was aching all over on Saturday night, with ice packs everywhere.
“I took a sore one on my foot in particular. I was kicked about a bit but I’ll get used to it.
“I was at Altrincham before and, believe me, I got kicked a lot more when I was there.
“It’s a good thing to experience the physicality up here and the fact that people are always willing to put a tackle in.
“My first impression of Scottish football is that this is more physical than playing for the under-20s back in Sunderland.
“I knew there would be a big reaction to the defeat and it was a deserved one because we weren’t good enough.
“I knew it would happen because the club hasn’t won the Cup since 1902 but have been in the Final for the past two seasons.
“They’ve done well in getting close so to go out in that fashion is very disappointing. Everything that I’ve seen in the past couple of days makes me realise how big it is for the fans.
“I don’t think I’m ready for the Sunderland first team.
“For my development the next stage was definitely to come and get first-team experience
“Hibs is a really good club to get experience at and I’m very grateful for the chance.
“Everything I learn here will make me a better player.
“As for the League Cup Final it would be good to see Sunderland at Wembley but I wouldn’t want to miss anything here and I haven’t asked the boss if I can go yet!”
