Sunderland AFC has unveiled plans for a fans village outside the Stadium of Light, which will be in operation on Match days.
Currently the plans are with Sunderland Councillors awaiting approval, if given the go ahead the site will be based at the South East side of the stadium. An 1800 square footed area set aside, will hold up to 6000 supporters, including a Bar and Food facilities, a big screen showing match highlights, and a children’s area with a mini football pitch.
If Sunderland get the green light, the purposed Village will hopefully be opening for the first home match of the season, opening times are said to be 3 hours before the game and 1 hour after full time.
