Sunderland winger Adam Johnson will have a chance to prove to Manchester City that he IS good enough.
During his two-and-a-half years at Man City, Johnson has a Premier League and FA Cup winners medal in his trophy cabinet, and the League Cup winners medal would be the set.
Johnson's £7 million move to City from Middlesbrough promised to allow one of England's brightest talents the chance to showcase his ability on the biggest stages of all in club football, however, he found his chances few and far between.
The 26-year-old was restricted to appearances from the bench more often than not, particularly in Man City's title winning season, 2011/12, in what turned out to be his last year at the Etihad Stadium before a £10 million move back to the north east with Sunderland.
His performances this season have seen him put himself back in contention for an England place with many fans calling for Johnson to be called up by Roy Hodgson, particularly having scored six goals in his last six Premier League appearances.
If ever there was a stage for a player to prove a point ... that is Wembley ... TODAY!
