Terriers reject Stead bid

Reports suggest that the Black Cats were prepared to pay an initial £500,000 for the 20-year-old striker with the rest of the £1million fee being paid on appearances.

Stead was on the scoresheet when Huddersfield knocked the Black Cats out of the Carling Cup last month, one of eleven goals the striker has bagged so far this season.
