Steve Bruce has added another member of his back room staff, Stan Ternent has been brought into join Sunderland's scouting team.
The 63 year old who was born in Gateshead is a life long Sunderland fan, and has a history with Manager Steve Bruce, as they worked together at both Birmingham City and Wigan. But he is also no stranger to Sunderland football club as well, signing for the playing squad back in the 70's but never actually started a game due to serious injury problem's which eventually forced Ternent to hang up his boot. But stayed on at Wearside as part of the coaching staff, then moving into management at Blackpool, he went on to Manage Hull City, Bury, Burnley, Gillingham and Huddersfield Town.
