A national tabloid have claimed that Sunderland’s owner billionaire Ellis Short has been looking for buyers to take over the club.
They go on to report that the American business man Short, has spoken to consortiums based in China.
The paper also wrote that Short is willing to listen to offers of £150 million, after buying the club for £20 million with a further investment of over £200 million
Nothing official has come from either the club or Shorts people, but with the lack of recent investment would make sense if the club was up for sale.
According to the report the American is keen to sell up to a Chinese based buyer, seeing whats happened with over English clubs of recent.
