Sunderland target Ross McCormack is said to be pushing for a move out of the midlands, to Wearside to revitalise his career. The striker is excess to requirements at Aston Villa, with Villa boss Steve Bruce admitting that Sunderland have been in contact over the forward.
The issues is that Villa want to sell the Scottish striker, but cash strapped Sunderland are requesting a loan deal. Some reports have gone on to say that Villa have accepted a loan deal maybe the way to go but the wages of the player are the obstacle.
McCormack spent the second half of last season out on loan, at Nottingham Forest but again did not see as much first team action as hoped.
