Stokes To Be Reunited With Sunderland

Stokes, who is contracted to Arsenal, had an unsuccesful trial with the Black Cats during the summer. However, the Irish striker has been setting the Scottish Premier League on fire with his recent performances.

He has netted 13 times for the SPL outfit.

Keane: "We're interested in any quality player and the lad's done well," Keane is quoted as saying in the Daily Record.

"I've seen him a couple of times myself in the last month against Celtic and against Hearts and I think he's a very good player and he's one we're looking at.

"I might step up my interest. We are looking at players to come in during January."
