Dutchman Dick Advocaat, has packed his bags, said his goodbyes to the Sunderland players and fans alike, off gone back home to Holland. But the man who kept Sunderland in the premiership last season, is struggling to find a positive outlook to the current setup, and speaks out of why he’s called an early end to Wearside.
Dick admitted that he had made up his mind last week, a week before Sunderland’s draw against West Ham. Speaking to the Sunderland powers telling them that he wanted out, something the papers had been reporting for a lot longer. The point of reality was the news of Sunderland Director of football Lee Congerton had handed his notice in on the Friday before West Ham game, most fans could guess Dick wouldn’t be far behind.
Dick simply believes that the Sunderland side is just not good enough to compete in the premiership.
