Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat has hit back at a group of Black Cat fans who are pointing the finger at chairman Ellis Short for the current poor show on the pitch.
Sunderland had another stinging defeat this weekend at the hands of Norwich, and yet again it was another poor performance by Sunderland players. At the point of Norwich’s third goal hitting the net, the chant “are you watching Ellis Short” rang around the Stadium of Light.
The Black Cats have been one of the least spending sides in the league, with both the in’s and out’s calculated that Short has spent 6 million pounds. Fans believe this simply isn’t good enough, and have made themselves heard.
Although on this Dick Advocaat spoke out at critics “With all respect, you cannot blame the president for this. Of course not.
“I have to blame myself, the players have to blames themselves and we have to find out if we can find a solution.”
