If Sunderland stands any chance of signing long linked striker Jordan Rhodes, they will have to pay in full as there will be no player plus cash deal.

This is down to Blackburn Rovers current financial situation, as they have been hit from sanctions from the FA for breaking there Financial Fair Play ruling.  So as part of their punishment, if Blackburn are to sell any of their players they have to abide that can’t do any swap players for players deals.
