"I think it's a partnership that will get us goals, hopefully starting against Fulham," Reid told the club's official website.
"They played together for the first time on Tuesday and sometimes it takes time for a partnership to hit it off.
"I thought Marcus Stewart had a decent debut but Tore was not at his best against Boro. There's much more to come from him.
"I know what he can do and when he gets used to the pace again I know he'll do a terrific job for us."
