"Jeff is still with us and I am still keen on him," Mccarthy told the Journal.
"I want to keep him because he did exceptionally well when he came in last season.
"He helped the reserve team win the league, he played a big part in that success. His attitude towards it was spot on and he showed that he is a good player."
