New Sunderland boss David Moyes is said to be lining up a bid for Liverpool’s out-of-favour forward Christian Benteke.
The Sunderland boss will have tough competition for the player, as Everton are also said to be very keen on the striker.
Sunderland need to strengthen the squad all over the pitch, to avoid yet another relegation battle, and a striker will certainly be somewhere to consider strengthening.
It’s suggested that Liverpool will be looking at around £30 million for the Belgian, as from Crystal Palace struggled to meet the fee.
Everton are looking at Benteke as a possible replacement to here current striker Romelu Lukaku,
who has been heavily linked to a move to Chelsea. Whereas Sunderland will be looking for back up to Defoe, and introduce more goal scoring capabilities into the side.
