Kenwyne can see potential

The Trinidad and Tobago striker has been gaining the plaudits during an impressive first season on Wearside, and has reportedly attracted the attention of clubs such as Chelsea and Liverpool.

"You can see this is a club that can go places. That's why we all came," he told the Sunderland Echo.

"There have been some bad results along the way and we have had a lot of injuries, but we have learned from our setbacks and after everything that's happened I think we deserve to be in The Premier League challenging again and trying to get better."
