"The price Sunderland are demanding cuts off any chance of me leaving," Sorensen told the Northern Echo.
"Several clubs have already shown interest and enquired about my availability, but the problem is the price, though I believe it will drop.
"With the market as it is, the price needs to be right and that is not the case right now.
"I'd hoped to get this sorted out quickly. There are many things which need to fall into place before I can move - there might be a lot of messing around."
