Sunderland and Italian international Emanuele Giaccherini is committed to Sunderland for the fourth coming season. Giaccherini has had a nightmare of a season last season, with a reoccurring ankle injury.
Sunderland's manager Dick Advocaat is said to rate the creative midfielder, and Furio Valcareggi who is Giaccherini’s agent has said that his player is also a great admirer of the big Dutchman.
Valcareggi is quoted saying “He (Giaccherini) will stay at Sunderland 100 per cent, although there was some interest last summer.
“There’s a lot of confidence for next season and Giaccherini does not want to leave.”
Giaccherini has desire to also get back into the Italian national side, and represent his country in the European Championships.
