Spanish midfielder Jordi Gomez has today resigned of Wigan Athletic, on a one year deal.
The 31 year old spent last season out on loan at Blackburn Rovers, after he was struggled to break into a regular place in the Sunderland team.
Gomez originally signed for Sunderland back in 2014 on free transfer, as his contact at Wigan came to an end.
Wigan boss Gary Caldweel said, "His quality on the ball is second to none,"
"Football-wise we all know what Jordi can do and at 31 he is still at the peak of his abilities."
