The Trinidad & Tobago midfielder signed for the Wearsiders today in a deal worth around £1.5million.
Edwards, 28, is an international team-mate of Dwight Yorke and has scored 8 goals for Luton Town since joining from Wrexham in 2005.
Keane had this to say about the signing: "We're absolutely delighted to have captured such a sought-after, top player,"
"A lot of clubs have been interested in Carlos, so it's great that he will be here at Sunderland to play his part in getting this club back to the Premiership."
