Dublin floods force call-off

The Garda felt the need to call the game off 2 hours prior to kick off after torrential rain poured over the Irish capital.

The Sunderland team was left with no choice but to turn and head for the airport whilst en-route to the stadium.

Disappointed Sunderland and Shamrock supporters may find some comfort in the fact that the fixture will be re-arranged.
