Diadora currently design kits for Roma, Rangers, Leeds, Palmeiras of Brazil, Dynamo Moscow and Scotland.
Diadoro also have a number of high-profile player-sponsorship deals, including: Christian Vieri, Fillipo Inzaghi, Dejan Stankovic and Robberto Baggio, who recently retired. Massimo Barzaghi, managing director of Diadora, said: "We are delighted with the new deal and looking forward to building a long and prosperous partnership with Sunderland.

More information will be released later this month and will be available in the shops from the 7th August.
