Sunderland’s superstar striker Jermain Defoe has been the subject of media reports linking him with a move away from Wearside.
Originally Defoe was said to be on the top of West Ham’s January transfer shopping list, with Defoe being a London lad himself, the worry was he’d take the offer. To add to it new Crystal Palace boss and ex-Sunderland man Sam Allardyce has also been linked to make a move for the striker.
In light of all this paper talk, Sunderland boss David Moyes has said that Defoe is priceless to the club.
Adding security to that is Defoe himself having said he is enjoying life at Sunderland, where he is worshiped in a god like fashion by the fans.
Defoe said “It’s a good feeling to be wanted but when you’re playing well and scoring goals then you must be enjoying being at the place you’re at.”
