Defender Misses Tottenham Game

The Sunderland full back was sent off for two bookable offences 23 minutes into the 2-0 defeat at Upton Park and will now serve an automatic one game ban.

He will therefore miss this weekend's game against Tottenham at The Stadium Of Light.

Stephen Caldwell will however be available for selection again having now served his one game ban for picking up five cautions this season.
