Danny gives a helping hand.

Revitalised Sunderland striker Danny Graham has donated £2690 to a fellow player’s charity collection in the aid of a career saving operation.

Gateshead’s JJ O’Donnell, has a rare foot condition, without an operation he certainly would have to retire from the sport.  With Gateshead football club not having the cash to support the player, O’Donnell’s career looked doomed. Step in Heed Army fans Lee Calder, 16, and Sam Jupp, 13 putting together a collection to help there favourite player.

The initial collection was hoping to reach £5000 but with an online donation from a Danny Graham, with the message “Good luck!! Hope the operation is a success”  the collection has reached £7000 which will fund the op.
