Sunderland Chairman Ellis Short has confirmed what most Sunderland fans have been waiting weeks even months for, the sacking of Steve Bruce.
Rumours were flying on Saturday that he had been given the boot after Sunderland’s home defeat against Wigan, this along with a shocking start to the season took its toll. Sunderland fans had been very vocal before during and even more so after the game that Bruce was no long welcome on Wearside.
Eric Black looks most likely to take charge for the forth coming must win game at Wolves, already thought two big names have been repeated time and time again for the job, Mark Hughes and Martin O’Neill.
Sunderland are a very attractive club at the moment, good boardroom backing, great facilities and on paper a good premier team who just lack that quality leadership.
