Sunderland defender Adam Matthews has today completed a move to Bristol City, on loan for the remainder of the season. Matthews who has struggled on Wearside since signing from Celtic, is in hope of reviving his faded footballing career.
Playing less than half a game for Sunderland’s first team this season, coming on as a sub in the opening game of the season.
There is the opportunity to sign a permanent deal in the summer as the Welsh International looks to have no future with the Black Cats.
The defender told commented on Bristol’s official website, “If all goes well for both parties there’s a possibility of a move in the summer, so we’ll see how it goes and if he wants to keep me.”
