Sunderland striker Italian Fabio Borini is still confident that Sunderland AFC can beat the drop come the end of the season.
Chatting with Sky Sports Italia, he suggested that Sunderland still have it all to play for even if they do sit propping the Premiership table up.
“I think we can be safe, we have been in worse situations and we were saved. We are only three points from safety - a single game - and still we are attached to those ahead.”
Borini seems a shadow for his former self with regards to his first stint on Wearside on a season long loan from Liverpool, in which he scored for fun.
