Sunderland’s ridiculously huge game this weekend, where a win could secure premiership status for another season.
This afternoon Sunderland’s manager Dick Advocaat has been speaking to the press:
First the bad news…..Both Wes Brown and Jordi Gomez will both miss this weekend’s fixture, both having knee injuries. Gomez being the worst blow, having fractured his knee cap and will play no further part of the season, he will be out for at least six weeks.
John O’Shea is fit and will replace Brown, he will start on Saturday.
But the good news….Italian international Emanuele Giaccherini is back fit and available for Saturday, having trained for a few weeks. But will replace Gomez, with Rodwell also being out, of course there’s always Adam Johnson, along with Bridcutt. – Dare we suggest Watmore?
