The Germans are invading again, according to media reports that Bayern Munich are sniffing around our top man Asamoah Gyan.
Rumours that the German giants are ready to swoop for the Sunderland and Ghana striker, after a string of outstanding performances at both club and international level.
Although the rumour is that Bayern are only prepared to pay 12 million pound for Gyan even though Sunderland paid 13 million just last summer, boss Steve Bruce has been quoted saying he estimates his striker now is worth over double what Sunderland paid at 30 million.
With only two permanent strikers on Sunderland's books, Campbell just about to break back into the first team after a lengthy spell out injured, the Black cats will be looking to bring in more to their strike force rather than lose.
Selling the striker at a loss is a crazy statement, both Bruce and Chairmen Niall Quinn are not stupid men, Bruce will not be letting Gyan go in a hurry especially after losing Darren B£nt in January. Even if Bayern Munich can wave the Champions League carrot in the face of Gyan and Sunderland in a hope to get there man, they will have to dig deeper into there pockets.
