Anthony Ujah would like to play for Sunderland AFC

Anthony Ujah would welcome a move to Sunderland AFC, he has revealed today after being asked the question.

The 20 year old, six foot tall, Nigerian striker currently plays for Norwegian outfit Lillestrom Sportsklubb, Ujah has scored 21 goals in 29 games in the Tippeligaen league, which is not bad going in any professional football league.  Four of these goals came in Lillestrom’s opening game of the season with an impressive 7 – 0 win over Stabaek.

The young striker has been linked to championship clubs Swindon Town and Southampton in January, but has since has also been noticed by a host of premier league clubs.  He has already held talks with Spanish side Real Mallorca after a bid was accepted for him but couldn’t agree personal terms with the club.

When recently asked about a move to England and Sunderland AFC, he said "Why not? There are some Africans there who can help me settle in, I am flattered to be linked with a move to the Premier League.”  "I am 20 years old now and I would love to play there one of these days."

Dutch giants FC Twente and PSV Eindhoven have noted there interest, as well as French teams Toulouse, Rennes and Lille.
