We love you Wallace, we do…

I'm not going to talk to Cardiff. It stops me for getting into trouble for using the words cheating scum inappropriately. In addition to that my persecution of the Collinses is resembling a hate campaign that needs to be addressed. So we don't talk about Cardiff.

Anyone wanna join the Ross Wallace Appreciation Society? Maybe a little drastic but at the minute I love the crazy little Scotsman. And from the looks of things he loves us too, isn't that nice?

I'd love to be able criticise him for his reaction to scoring the winner but I was listening to it on the radio from miles away and if you think Wallaces reaction was worthy of a yellow then mine would've been a straight red. Hell I would have been lucky to play again.

Having said that he is going to be a loss, despite having the wonderful and somewhat under-appreciated Hysen to deputise. I had been championing Hysen's cause for some time now but Wallace is just about winning me over. At least now Hysen has the chance to impress, he can ask for nothing more and some members of our squad have had a lot less… more on that later.

Again I can't help but reflect and wonder when was the last time we had the quality in our squad to be able to so easily replace such an influential player. Think about it, when Arca wasn't fit to play there we had no-one who could step in with any kind of authority. Welsh? I agree with Keane's assessment of him, he has no place in a side with promotion ambitions and I think Murphy is wasted out there. Yet now we have two left sided players who I would argue are at least on a par with the diminutive Argentineans abilities.

Going off on a bit of a tangent here I wanna talk about Arnau. A lot of Sunderland fans are wondering where our Catalan star has gotten to with more than a couple reflecting on how rich it is of Keane to leave out a player on the basis of a disciplinary mishap. I have it on pretty good information that Keane has told Arnau he will get his chance once he gets his weight up to a set target.

How close he is to this I don't know but I take a lot of encouragement from the fact that he hasn't joined our loan contingent. That would seem to hint to me that he has a future in Keane's plans even if it isn't quite yet.

I for one can't wait to see him play, I've heard a lot of good thing's about the player but I think we, like him, are going to have to be patient. We have an abundance of midfielders in the side and it is with Leadbitter's creative influence that Keane currently seems to be siding.

Again I'm excited by these prospects in our side, I'm excited by the potential future of this club, I'm glad we've won and I'm proud to be Sunderland fan again. To hell with those that say don't get carried away, roll on Cardiff and role on January where I 100% believe Quinn will prove his commitment to us. Lets do the same for him.
