Reports today saying that Sunderland are going to table an offer for Tottenham striker Darren Bent. Sunderland have been linked with the forward last season as he was offered to Sunderland in a player plus cash deal in return for Kenwyne Jones, but Roy Keane decided to go for a loan move for Dijbril Cisse instead.
If the reports are correct the offer will be somewhere in the region of 10 million pounds, Bent was Tottenham's top scorer last season scoring 12 goals, but Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is said to be willing to sell Bent to raise funds to try and sign Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz.
